General questions

What makes one photo from an event the one that stays with us for years?

The short answer

Not the sharpness or the lighting, but the story. The photos that stay are almost always between people, with real emotion or an unplanned moment that can never be recreated.

The perfect pose where everyone looks at the camera tends to fade in memory, because it looks like so many other photos. It is the real laugh, the hug, or the stolen glance that sticks.

For an event, that means it is worth looking for the few photos with a story and making sure they reach the right people, instead of drowning in hundreds of similar shots.
