Guest photos or the photographer's photos: why have both?
The short answer
The photographer delivers the precise, high-quality photos that will last, and guests catch spontaneous moments and angles the photographer was not there for. Together they give a fuller picture of the event.
A photographer has a professional eye, but only one body and one position at any moment. While they are covering the ceremony, guests are catching the laughter at the table, the getting ready, and the small moments on the side.
So it is not one or the other. The events that feel the fullest combine the photographer's work with the crowd's photos, instead of relying on just one of them.
